Cherry Blossom by Guerlain was originally released in 1999 as a limited edition available originally only in Japan. Jean-Paul Guerlain was inspired by the Japanese tradition of hanami - the act of simply enjoying the temporary beauty of the cherry blossoms. In 2009, an Aqua Allegoria version of Cherry Blossom was released - it was lighter, fresher, and more floral. By 2011, however, a rebottling and reformulation of the original Japanese release had appeared in the Les Parisiennes Collection, in the classic bee bottle. This reformulation had an aromatic profile of cherry, green, floral, powdery, citrus, fresh, sweet, fresh spicy, nutty, and aromatic notes.
