In 1993, Yves Saint Laurent commissioned perfumer Sophia Grojsman to create a perfume that was as effervescent as champagne. Yvresse was that perfume (originally named "Champagne" until the French Champagne Committee threatened a lawsuit). Yvresse is a play on the french word “ivresse” which means intoxication.  This older formulation is discontinued and very hard to find.
