Carven is the name of the company founded by French designer Marie-Louise Carven (born Carmen de Tommaso) in 1945. With a shop on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, the brand released its first fragrance in 1946, the famous Ma Griffe, along with fashion and accessories for petite women. Men’s wear and jewelry were added to the offerings by the late 1960s. Carven Parfums continues to produce women’s and men’s fragrances.
