Gucci's iconic Envy was created in 1997 by renowned perfumer Maurice Roucel. Its fresh, green, lightly sweet composition was welcome after the heavy fragrances of the 1980s and early 90s, and Envy started a new trend in perfumery. It is now discontinued.
