Jan Barba AIYOKU eau de toilette

Created in 2023 by perfumer Bartosz Puzio for Polish perfume house Jan Barba, Aiyoku eau de toilette is a unisex Woody Aromatic fragrance with a profile of earthy, citrus, aromatic, woody, oud, patchouli, and mossy accords.

"Aiyoku eau de toilette pays homage to Japanese hills blanketed with tropical forests, undergrowth, moss growing on the bark of trees, the smell of damp earth. This eau de toilette praises traditional Japanese houses, made of cedarwood infused with resin and fragrant oils. Situated in a valley, among tall lemon grasses and with marshy area around them. The houses are blending in with nature and are being part of it. Composition inspired by Alex Kerr's book "Lost Japan." 

"Aiyoku is almost a Cologne structure, but with color saturation and contrast turned up to maximum. The composition does not fade to a hum after five minutes, as a proper man’s cologne should, but continues with all sails to the wind. There is currently a two-way traffic between masculine and feminine fragrances. Cleaned-up feminines like the Legacy Knowing (Lauder) make terrific masculines, while brighter, stronger versions of masculine classics like Aiyoku often work best on a woman." - Luca Turin
