Jean Patou CHALDEE vintage parfum
Jean Patou CHALDEE vintage parfum
Chaldee was a 1927 launch from the house of Jean Patou, composed by perfumer Henri Almeras. This Amber Floral fragrance has a scent profile of white floral, amber, floral, green, yellow floral, sweet, balsamic, fresh spicy, citrus, and fresh.
Chaldee was originally a suntan oil, called "Huile de Chaldee," which was simply castor oil with a scent composed by Almeras. However, when women liked the scent so much that they began wearing it as a perfume, Patou released the perfume version, called simply Chaldee.
The version offered here is a bottle from the 1984 re-release as a part of the Ma Collection, a limited edition release of 12 of Jean Patou's earliest releases. These perfumes were recreated extremely faithfully to their original counterparts by Jean Patou perfumer Jean Kerleo.
Offered is a 30ml bottle of pure parfum at approximately 95% fill level due to evaporation, vintage new in the Ma Collection box. This is an extremely rare find, especially in such exceptional condition!
