New arrival
Charles Blair by Charles Blair is a Woody Mossy fragrance possibly first launched in 1934-5. It became popular with American tourists to France in the 1950s, and was released in the United States in 1962. Charles Blair was offered in a perfume and bath essence oil, and later in this Bath Essence eau de parfum. My guess is that this is the original formula, but in an 85% alcohol base. The box states that it is the "indispensable complement to the bath essence oil. These bottles are 30z/90ml sprays.
Notes
Woods, Mosses, East Indian Sandalwood
From an October 1962 article from the New York Times: "...Another French perfume that is making its American debut is Charles Blair, an exotic blend of woody-mossy tones and East Indian sandalwood. This fragrance, which has been discovered by American tourists abroad, first came into being in 1934."
