Gendarme by Gendarme is an Aromatic Green fragrance for men created in 1983 by Topper Schroeder in collaboration with Givaudan. This iconic fresh, clean scent was a breath of fresh air in the 1980s era of heavy fragrances.  It laid the path for Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male, Calvin Klein's CK ONE, Thierry Mugler's Cologne, and the Philosophy and Clean lines.  Gendarme is classified as citrus, aromatic, white floral, green, fresh, leather, smoky, fresh spicy, and amber.
