Jan Barba CHYPRE extrait de parfum

Created in 2018 by perfumer Bartosz Puzio for Polish perfume house Jan Barba, Chypre is a unisex Chypre fragrance with a profile of amber, white floral, ozonic, musky, aquatic, rose, floral, green, balsamic, and citrus accords. Like all of the extraits by Jan Barba, Chypre extrait de parfum is comprised wholly of natural essential oils.

"Chypre are heavy, deep, with a floral heart and a balsamic/resinous base, although there is a balance between these two characteristics, there is also a sense of fruitiness from dried fruits and animal notes. As rich as Chypre is, the perfume engages not only the sense of smell, but also the eye with its dark syrupy colour. With the duration of the fragrance, a woody harshness comes to the fore. Chypre is like a sultry evening after a hot day in a garden of fragrant flowers. Like that boundary in the air, which, once broken, can only be followed by rain. Chypre is characterized by a scent that is warm but dry, with woody, floral, and resinous notes."
